Shoes are my obsession. I have thousand pair of them. And I'm very proud of it. Probably, it concerns that in my childhood I share shoes with my sister. She was on two years elder than me, but we had the same size. But now thanks God, the situation has changed. Once upon a time I bought a wonderful pair of Manolo Blahnik from last collection. I paid pretty big resources for them. But I said to myself "I'm grown-up woman and I work a lot and I deserve to buy it no matter what is their price". And I bought them. So, one day I was ready to wear my new Manolo Blahnik. I had some business in the centre and after it I decided to go for a walk a little. The weather was wonderful and I had a great mood. All women on the street looked only at my shoes. I have never felt myself so proud. It seemed all women of New York City envied to me. I was walking, thinking about different stuff and suddenly some guy appeared in front of my face and he had a shiv. He looked very threateningly. He demanded my purse. I was scared and the street was empty. There was nobody to ask help. And I gave him my purse. I bought it last summer in discount store, so I didn't concern much, besides there was not so much money. Then he looked at my shoes and demanded put it off. I was confused. "Shoes? Why?" It is not your size mister, I said to him, but he didn't appreciate my joke and put it off with a force. I was scared and mazed and I couldn't say a word. I just stand and watched how my new Manolo Blahnik from boutique ran away. Barefoot I reached the closest store and asked to make a call. I called to my friend Laura. She is a lawyer. She came to that store and called the police. They found the thief, he was around. But there weren't my shoes with him. The police returned my purse, but not shoes. I returned home disappointed and barefoot. So, that was the story how I have lost the most expensive thing in my life.
